CAMPAIGN SCHEDULES/DATES

sights and sounds of Ghana

                  INVITATION

ARE you a social worker, a social science student, an accomplished international voluntary social worker, a church volunteer or simply interested in adventure? ARE you interested in experiencing the historical sights and the uncanny sounds of Tropical Ghana this summer? Then this is for you!

                  The Movement for Anti Drug Abuse (MADA) a non governmental organization based in Ghana is looking for interested self sponsored volunteers to help support its 8 weeks Anti drug abuse and HIV/AIDS educational awareness campaign in Ghana dubbed CAMPAIGN AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND HIV/AIDS 2003!

              The Movement is undertaking these intensive nationwide campaigns in all the 110 district areas in Ghana and will be pleased to have international voluntary organizations, individuals, and students from all nations to come voluntarily and identify and assist it as voluntary resource persons to help it educate and create awareness in the Ghanaian public to the hazards in drug abuse and HIV/AIDS. Interested parties shall be required to give lectures, talks, share their experiences with us at the numerous rallies, seminars, conferences, public debates and workshops that will be organized by MADA during the campaign period. Interested parties will also be opportuned to experience the sights and sounds of the Ghanaian countryside, meet its people, their cultures and traditions and experience the most exciting tourist attractive places in the West African sub region. These and more will be arranged for your pleasure as we move along our long campaign trail. So come join us and identify with us in our solidarity rallies against drug abuse and HIV/AIDS.

3rd Sept               : Activities move to Eastern

14th Sept               : Anti- Drug Abuse and HIV/

                               AIDS solidarity march in the

                              principal streets of Accra

                              and a seminar on drug abuse

                              and HIV/AIDS

All interested participants and volunteers will be fully self-sponsored, because MADA does not have appropriate funds to sponsor their stay.  However, all necessary arrangements involving accommodation, feeding, transportation, VISA, immigration and other amenities will be made for your pleasure and comfort should you decide to volunteer.  You can come with your camping gear. Please notify us of your intensions before the deadline date of 30th June to make adequate arrangements for your accommodation, transportation and comfortable stay.
